At the Council’s Annual General Meeting on 9 May, Councillor Rowland Hibbard was elected as Chairman and Councillor David Leader was elected as Vice Chairman, both serving for the period 2016/2017.

New Website for the Council
Broadwindsor Group Parish Council is really pleased to announce the launch of its new website. Designed and built by Michelle Abadie, the site supports the Council’s commitment for improved engagement and a wider dialogue with the community. Users will be able to view and download the agenda and minutes of Council Meetings, find contact details for all Councillors, have access to useful resources and find out the latest news and events from across the grouped Parish area. The website is not yet fully populated with content, this will be completed over the coming months. We very much hope that you enjoy your visit and please do feedback your comments, we want to hear from you.
Notice of Casual Vacancy on Parish Council
A casual vacancy has arisen for a Councillor for the Parish Council. If by 29 April 2016 a request for an election to fill the vacancy is made in writing to the Returning Officer at West Dorset District Council by at least ten electors from within the Parish, an election will be held to fill the vacancy, otherwise the vacancy will be filled by co-option. A formal notice will be posted on village noticeboards, for all enquiries, please contact the Clerk.
