Get Involved: Dorset Clinical Services Review
The future of health care in Dorset is currently being reviewed and now is the time to find out about what is being proposed and have your say. The Clinical Services Review was launched in response to major challenges which health and care face both in Dorset and across the rest of the country. These include a growing population with more people living longer, an increasing demand on services, workforce shortages that will be difficult to fill, variations in the quality of care and a potential funding gap of at least £158m per year by 2020.
Copies of the consultation document – Improving Dorset’s Healthcare have been circulated around the Grouped Parish area and are available to pick up from Comrades Hall, The White Lion, the Community Store, the Royal Oak and from Drimpton and Blackdown Village Halls. If you are unable to pick up one, please do contact the Parish Council. You can also find the document online at,
www.csr.dorsetsvision.nhs.uk/wp-content/uploads/sites/3/2016/11/csr-consultation-document.pdf
This is a really important issue, especially for those living in rural areas, so please do read the document if you can and get involved.

Seaborough Vacancy
There is currently a vacant position on the Council for the Seaborough Ward. Parish Councillors have the opportunity to make a real difference to their community and it can be both a rewarding and interesting experience. The Council meets every month and Councillors should be accessible to the community, represent the interests of their ward, deal with parishioner enquiries, representations and complaints and participate constructively in the government of the Parish. The deadline for expressions of interest, which should comprise a covering letter and cv, sent to the Clerk, is 14 December.

Neighbourhood Plan – Thank You for Taking Part
A month ago, homes across the Broadwindsor Group Parish received the Neighbourhood Plan Questionnaire and haven’t you been busy! Household responses, individual responses from within households, comments from young people and feedback from businesses have all been coming back in. Over 400 questionnaires have already been input by a team of volunteers, ready to analyse what makes this Parish tick, and how we would like to see it develop. Thank you for taking part and helping to shape the Neighbourhood Development Plan.
