Drimpton, together with its neighbouring hamlets of Netherhay and Greenham, is a small rural community located at the Dorset County fringe, half a mile from the Somerset border and four miles from Devon. Its beautiful countryside is dominated by Dorset’s two highest points, Pilsdon Pen and Lewesdon Hill. A popular and busy village with some four hundred residents, Drimpton enjoys a popular pub The Royal Oak and an active village hall offering short mat bowls, coffee mornings, film club, village lunches, youth club, an extensive arts programme and much more. The village is served by Netherhay Methodist Church and St. Mary’s Church.
