Councillor Kevin Madder-Smith

Kevin was co-opted to the Parish Council in October 2017 to represent the Broadwindsor ward. Kevin moved to the village with his wife from Berkshire and is currently the Manager of the Community Shop. Kevin has been married for thirty-five years and has two grown up children and six grandchildren. After leaving school Kevin trained as a Panel Beater and Paint Sprayer but has spent most of his working life in retail, managing his own business in Guildford, DOME ltd, an Ordnance Survey large scale mapping agency and art and craft supplies. Kevin’s claim to fame is meeting Marlon Brando in their shop and later appearing on Channel Four’s 4 Rooms selling a painting he gave to him. Kevin has a keen interest in motorsport and raced go karts for many years, becoming Endurance Champion in 1996 and he is currently restoring a Ford Anglia 105e which he hopes to race in the future. Kevin is also a qualified Karate Instructor and enjoys walks with his Boxer dog.
